Birdcall, a Denver-based craft chicken franchise, announced its proprietary technology platform, Poncho, has launched for the first time outside of the company's brand at Brya Zan Thai Noodle + Brew in Plano, Texas.
Poncho, an integrated technology system, streamlines fast casual restaurant operations by connecting point-of-sale systems, kitchen displays, loyalty programs and online ordering. Birdcall built the system in-house, and it is now available to license for other restaurant groups. The platform also gives brands access to and the ability to analyze their own customer data.
"Launching Poncho with Brya Zan is a huge step forward in realizing the long-term vision for our technology platform," David Burton, Birdcall vice president of product and technology," said in a company press release. "This collaboration showcases the flexibility of Poncho and its ability to be customized and tailored for use at other brands. We're excited to share these capabilities with more restaurant groups."
Brya Zan offers a customizable menu with Thai staples such as Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles, as well as in-house craft beers, iced coffee and frozen cocktails.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with Poncho," said Braden Wages, Brya Zan co-founder. "It has significantly enhanced our guest experience because of its savvy interface and diverse functionality."
Mark Lohmann, Birdcall's chief executive officer, said the partnership is a sign of what's to come.
"The debut of Poncho at Brya Zan shows how far our technology has come and how far it can go," Lohmann said. "We're building tools that empower restaurants to operate smarter, faster and more sustainably. Brya Zan is just the beginning."
