Dave's Hot Chicken opens 200th location

Dave's Hot Chicken, a Nashville-style hot chicken concept that started seven years ago in an East Hollywood parking lot pop-up, has added its 200th location. Located in the Dallas area, at 1545 E Belt Line Road in Richardson, the store is owned by David Futrell and his business partners. The Richardson restaurant will be his third Dave's Hot Chicken.

"It's been an awesome couple of years since we opened the 16th Dave's Hot Chicken restaurant," Futrell said in a company press release. "Here we are now opening the 200th location in such a short amount of time! Just goes to show how much Texas and the world love Dave's Hot Chicken. I can't wait to open the 500th store."

Dave's Hot Chicken specializes in Hot Chicken Sliders and Tenders, house-made Kale Slaw, Mac & Cheese, seasoned French Fries and Dave's NOT Chicken — Cauliflower Sliders and Cauliflower Bites.

"Going from a parking lot pop-up run by three friends to a global restaurant with 200 locations in under seven years is truly the American Dream story," CEO Bill Phelps said in the release. "As we continue to expand, we know that focusing on making the most craveable, hottest and juiciest hot chicken on the planet will ensure our continued growth."
