Dat Dog opening in College Station, Texas

Louisiana-based Dat Dog is opening in College Station, Texas.
 
The restaurant marks Dat Dog's first location outside of Louisiana and will be owned by franchisee group B&G Food Enterprises, which operates more than 100 Taco Bell, KFC and Long John Silver's restaurants across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, according to a company press release.
 
Located in the Domain at Northgate at 101 Church Ave., the restaurant is slated to open July 2018.
 
"We are thrilled to bring a little bit of offbeat New Orleans to College Station,” Greg Hamer, CEO of B&G Food Enterprises, said in the release. "Dat Dog's unique menu items and notable concept has garnered much success throughout New Orleans and we can't wait to reach the same level of acclaim in Texas."
 
 Bill DiPaola, Dat Dog's president and COO, said as the brand expands outside of its home market, it's crucial to find the right franchise partners.

"We know B&G Food Enterprises, LLC will be instrumental to establishing the brand in Texas," he said.
