February 28, 2019

Greek fast casual Daphne's Mediterranean will open six Austin, Texas, locations in just five weeks, with grand opening celebrations starting March 8.

The expansion comes on the heels of the concept's Texas debut in early February, according to a press release. The Austin location openings are as follows:

  • Friday, March 8: 2530 Guadalupe Street.
  • Friday, March 15: 2438 W. Anderson Ln. Ste A-1.
  • Friday, March 22: 1920 E. Riverside Dr. Ste #E-110.
  • Friday, March 29: 6301 W. Parmer Ln. Ste #204.
  • Friday, April 5: 500 W. Canyon Ridge Dr. Ste #L400.
  • Friday, April 12: 1801 E. 51st St. Ste #C-300.

Each grand opening will offer free gyro fries samplers for all guests between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on its opening day.

"We were so pleased with the warm Texas welcome we received a few weeks ago in Dallas, and we have no doubt we'll experience the same reception from the Austin community," said Michael Nakhleh, president of Elite Restaurant Group, the parent company of Daphne's Mediterranean, in the release. "The food we serve is wholesome, fresh, and ranges from the very traditional to the unique. Our gyro fries with our signature fire feta are a crowd favorite, and show what Daphne's is all about: serving delicious tasting food that innovatively highlights all the Mediterranean has to offer."

Daphne's will operate 29 locations in California and Texas once the Austin locations officially open, and plans to open locations in Houston, Boston and Southern California in the coming months.
