Curry Up Now has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Harsh and Vimal Patel to expand to Tennessee, opening the first location by year's end in Smyrna.

"This isn't your average curry spot — it's Indian street food, unleashed," Harsh Patel, a former Truist senior banker, said in a company press release. "We're taking authentic flavors, giving them a modern twist, and serving them with the energy of a Bollywood blockbuster. Tennessee's ready for something this bold."

"Harsh and his team are the kind of partners every founder dreams of; intuitive, dedicated, and deeply committed to hospitality that feels both personal and memorable, said Akash Kapoor, founder of Curry Up Now.

"Smyrna's spirit, its evolving food culture, and the warmth of the community align perfectly with how we want to grow across Tennessee," he said in the release. "We're excited to be here."

Curry Up Now was established in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Akash and Rana Kapoor and operates 20 brick-and-mortar locations, three food trucks and several digital kitchen outposts nationwide.
