Curry Up Now opening in North Carolina

Curry Up Now is opening locations in Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Set to open this summer, the Durham restaurant is at 3105 Shannon Road, while the Chapel Hill location will open by year's end in the University Place development at 201 S Estates Dr.

"North Carolina is a very important part of our expansion plan, and the VAAP team are the right partners to bring our vision there," Curry Up Now CEO Akash Kapoor said in a company press release "The locations are exactly what we had in mind when we formed this partnership with a franchise group that understands our business and really understands the market. I'm excited to make a new home in North Carolina."

Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins franchisees VAAP Management are opening the stores as part of a five-unit deal with Curry Up Now.

"We've been excited about bringing the explosive Indian flavors that Curry Up Now is known for to the area, and now we have two prime locations to do exactly that," franchisee Pathik Patel said in the release. "This area is so diverse and so passionate about new flavors and concepts. We have no doubts that Curry Up Now is going to take North Carolina by storm."

Curry Up Now was established in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Akash and Rana Kapoor and operates 20 brick-and-mortar locations, three food trucks and several digital kitchen outposts nationwide.
