Curry Up Now, a California-based Indian fast casual brand, has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Ganshayam Patel to bring the concept to Bowling Green, Kentucky. The deal marks a major milestone for the brand, introducing its first drive-thru location. Patel plans to open additional units throughout the region.
"This is a significant move for us," Akash Kapoor, Curry Up Now's founder, said in a company press release. "The drive-thru model allows us to increase efficiency and accessibility while staying true to who we are. Ganshayam brings a strong understanding of operations and growth, and the regional market across Kentucky and Middle Tennessee aligns well with where we see the brand heading."
The location will be housed in a newly developed strip center under construction by Patel, designed to feature a curated mix of restaurant and retail concepts. As the endcap anchor tenant, Curry Up Now will benefit from prominent visibility and dedicated drive-thru access, Patel said in a company press release
"Curry Up Now offers a concept that stands out in a crowded market," he said in the release. "The food is distinctive, but it's still easy for new guests to understand and enjoy. Adding a drive-thru gives us the ability to serve more people, faster, which is exactly what this area needs. We see a lot of potential in Bowling Green and beyond."
Curry Up Now operates 20 brick-and-mortar locations, three food trucks and several digital kitchen outposts nationwide, and has both corporate and franchised units in development across the U.S. and the U.K.
