CUPS Frozen Yogurt, a beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, opens its first New York location at 7 p.m. today at 2080 Mall Walk, Cross Country Shopping Center, Yonkers, N.Y.
The Yonkers location will be CUPS 10th location, and additional New York locations in Carle Place, Commack and Huntington Station will open before the end of the year.
CUPS Co-founder Rick Barbrick said the chain that opened in 2010 in New Jersey CUPS is much more than great frozen yogurt.
"It's more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and cast members with infectiously fun personalities. It's the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience," he said.
