Cups Frozen Yogurt debuts first California franchise location

Cups Frozen Yogurt – That’s Hot will celebrate the grand opening of it first California franchise location in Torrance by offering free frozen yogurt from 4-7 pm on July 11.  Cups is located at the Rolling Hills Plaza, 2533 Pacific Coast Highway.  

During the grand opening week, each Torrance customer will be given a “scratch off” card, which contains prizes such as iPhone covers, blankets, pens, glow-in-the-dark wristbands and Cups coupons. One grand prize winner will receive free fro-yo for a year.

Sant and Sons is the franchisee for the Torrance location, and has signed an agreement for 12 franchise units, according to a news release. The franchisee’s territory ranges from Santa Monica to Long Beach, including Torrance, Hawthorne, and the beach cities of Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach. 

"Cups is a whole new environment compared to the many different concepts of frozen yogurt these days. I don't see a better place then Southern California to have these beach and club themed frozen yogurt shops," Jas Ghotra, co-president of Sant and Sons, said in the release. “We can’t wait to introduce Cups to all of Southern California.”

Cups now has 23 locations in New Jersey, New York, California, Florida and Virginia. Throughout the past nine months, Cups has signed 10 area development agreements representing 45 franchise units.
