Indonesia-based Cupbop, a fast casual Korean Barbeque in-a-cup concept, has promoted Gina Silveira to director of Operations. Before joining the company in February of 2023, as a corporate trainer, Silveira, who immigrated to the US from the Philippines 10 years ago, was hired at McDonald's. She was eventually given a store.

"I feel beyond blessed to be a part of Cupbop," Silveira said in a company press release. "Working in a third-world country inspired me to push myself to where I am now, and motivated me to get to this point. I've always had a big dream; I truly believe if you don't dream, you can't achieve it. I now look forward to being part of such an incredible, strong brand, and I know the Cupbop team will have my back throughout our journey."

Silveira plans to help expand the brand nationally, as it continues to grow throughout the US.

"We are thrilled to have Gina as our new Director of Operations," COO Dok Kwon said in the release. "She has demonstrated an incredible work ethic and drive, not to mention true passion for our brand, and I am fully confident that she is the perfect person to take Cupbop to the next level of quality customer service and food."

Founded in 2013 by Junghun Song, Cupbop began as a food truck in Salt Lake City and now has 55 locations in the U.S and over 170 locations in Indonesia. Cupbop's leading franchisee group last year raised an additional $10,000,000 in funding to accelerate Cupbop store openings.

The chain is seeking experienced multi-unit franchisees with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong people management skills and a passion for providing delicious, high-quality products and customer service to its community. Including the franchise fee, the initial investment for a Cupbop franchise is between 300 and 650,000
