Cowboy Chicken has signed a new franchisee, MJY Cowboy LLC, to expand the brand to areas south of Dallas, including Cedar Hill, Waxahachie, Desoto, Lancaster, Red Oak, Kaufman and Corsicana, according to a company press release.
Jimmy Hajeer, owner of MJY Cowboy, also owns and operates 12 Denny's Restaurants from Dallas to Louisiana. He started with the company in 1981, as a server, supporting himself while attending University of Texas at Arlington. For 15 years, Hajeer worked his way up in the company learning the ins and outs of operations and in 1996, opened his first location.
"Bringing 33 years of experience to the Cowboy Chicken brand, I can translate my skills and experience of my organization to build on the Cowboy Chicken vision to be an even bigger success for the brand and my company," Hajeer said.
Hajeer said he will measure success by "guest satisfaction and brand awareness in the market." He will focus on building business relationships, working with churches and other community involvements.
"Cowboy Chicken is elated to welcome Jimmy Hajeer to the family," said Sean Kennedy, president of Cowboy Chicken. "We believe his experience will help the brand grow positively."
