Cowboy Chicken signs agreement for 20th new unit

Cowboy Chicken will reach beyond Texas in 2015, opening units in Alabama.

Dallas-based Cowboy Chicken recently announced it has signed its fourth new franchisee, for a total of 20 additional stores for 2014.

Dia Zuaiter’s 5-store agreement will expand the concept to Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville, Alabama.

Zuaiter plans to begin his development with a location in Hoover, a suburb of Birmingham. His future plans include further expansion in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Cowboy Chicken recently opened its 11th unit on Oct. 30 at 4984 W. Main St. in Frisco, Texas. The store is the fifth location for the franchise group, Vesta Restaurants.

The brand's 12th unit will open on Dec. 8 at 4415 S. Loop 289 in Lubbock, Texas. This will be the first Cowboy Chicken franchise location for managing partner, Brent Shankle, and operating partner, Shannyn Taggart.  The team plans to open five Cowboy Chicken restaurants in West Texas over the next few years.
