Cowboy Chicken signs 14-unit franchising deal

January 17, 2017

When FRC Group went looking for a franchise partnership, the list boasted over a 100 concepts. After some research, FRC Group signed a 14-unit franchise deal with just one  - Cowboy Chicken.

"I loved what I saw on the website, and ... upon seeing they originated in Dallas, I went to my phone and sent out a text to all my DFW friends, 'Have you heard of Cowboy Chicken?'" Brendan Crowley, co-president of FRC Group, an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, said in a press release.  "I got immediate responses from everyone! It was a unanimous, 'Yes! We love it!'"

Soon after, Cowboy Chicken had a 14-unit franchise partner. The new deal divides the Cowboy Chicken locations between Iowa, Kansas and South Dakota. The concept will soon have 110 restaurants across the nation. Crowley and FRC Group Co-President Luke Wilson currently operate 21 HuHot Mongolian Grills and have 25 years of experience in both casual and fast casual industries.

"Cowboy Chicken’s culture is rooted in honest family values that you can feel in our restaurants, taste in our food, and feel from our staff members," Cowboy Chicken's President and CEO, Sean Kennedy, said in the release. "We are excited to work with smart, experienced partners like FRC Group to bring our all-natural wood fire rotisserie chicken to the people across the country."
