Cowboy Chicken is now open for business in the outdoor Fig Garden Village retail development at 5050 N. Palm Ave., in Fresno. This is the third Cowboy Chicken to open in California, and all are under the direction of Texacal Foods.

"We are thrilled to have a third Cowboy Chicken location open here in Fresno," Texacal owner Kevin Roche said in a company press release. "I know our friends and neighbors at Fig Garden Village will fall in love with Cowboy Chicken's legendary wood-fired chicken and handcrafted sides the same way I did."

The 2,600-square-foot restaurant centers on a large, wood-burning rotisserie where guests can view the chickens roasting from the rustic-meets-modern dining area. The restaurant seats 50 guests and serves lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Roche and his partner, Phil Fontes, joined with Cal Capitol Investment Group's Daniel and Doug Shaffer to bring the Dallas-based brand to the Golden State last year.
