Cowboy Chicken has opened its first location outside its home state of Texas.

Cowboy Chicken has opened its first location outside its home state of Texas. The store opened Nov. 9 in Lincoln, Nebraska, marking the first of seven for the franchise partners Joe Armstrong, Brian Eichelberger, and Randy Mutchie, who will expand the brand through Nebraska and Kansas.

"We are careful to plan for the right growth, as we work toward becoming a national brand. That means recruiting franchisees that best match the culture of the brand, with the same core values and goals of the Cowboy Chicken family. We are excited to bring the art of cooking chicken over a real wood fire to the people of Nebraska,” said Sean Kennedy, president of Cowboy Chicken.
