Cowboy Chicken will open its third California restaurant Wednesday. The restaurant will be located at 5050 N Palm Avenue in Fresno.

To celebrate the launch the brand is serving up special pricing at the location, a chance to win free tea and chicken for a year as well as retro prices at all of its locations, according to a press release.

"We couldn’t be more excited to spread the legendary wood-fired flavor of Cowboy Chicken to more parts of California," said Kevin Roche, store owner, in the release.

"The grand opening celebration is Cowboy Chicken's way of introducing our mouthwatering menu and community spirit to the people of Fresno; we're very grateful to be a new addition to the San Joaquin Valley," he said.

Texacal Foods owners and operations partners Roche and Phil Fontes teamed with Cal Capitol Investment Group's Daniel and Doug Shaffer to launch the location.

The first 100 guests when the restaurant opens will receive a limited design cup that gives access to free tea for a year.

All Cowboy Chicken locations are taking guests back to 1981 — the year the restaurant first opened — with original pricing for the entire day on Oct. 16 (dine-in only). Half chicken with twice baked potato, ranchero beans and a roll are $3.29. The offer is for those who use the Cowboy Chicken app. The 2,600-square foot restaurant seats up to 50.
