Cowboy Chicken, a 13-unit wood-fire rotisserie chicken brand based in Dallas, has signed two new franchisee agreements that will expand the brand into Texas, Kansas and Nebraska. Midwest CC will develop seven units throughout Nebraska and Kansas, and Fisher Rothchild will build 15 units in Houston, according to a company press release.
Midwest CC plans to begin development of its first location in Lincoln, Neb., and then expand through the Midwest region. The first location is expected to open by Fall 2015.
“We know that Midwest CC, LLC shares many of the brand's core values. They believe in operational excellence as well as being a beacon in the community,” said Cowboy Chicken President Sean Kennedy. “They feel that children and education are the future and will spend time and energy impacting programs that support this. We look for partners that share our values, and know that this new partnership is a perfect fit for both parties.”
Development for the Houston stores will begin in the Katy area, where lease negotiations are already underway, and will continue to develop through the Greater Houston Area and surrounding suburbs. The first location is expected to open in the last quarter of 2015, Kennedy said.
