Cousins Subs unveils new logo, design
December 10, 2009
Cousins Subs has announced its new company logo and store prototype that will be featured in all new restaurants built after January 2010.
The updated look was a collaborative effort between Milwaukee-based companies Welke Group for the logo and RCS Retail Interiors for the new front-of-house restaurant design. The logo will keep its signature red and yellow colors, but will now feature a friendlier, easier to read type with a subtle green-striped border that communicates fresher, healthier food. It also will be shown with a highlight to give added depth and a three-dimensional feel.
Until this point, a standard Cousins Subs varied in square footage from 1,800 to 2,200 square feet. The new prototype will remain consistent at 1,600 square feet and along with a brand new décor package the stores will feature colorful wall art, referred to as "Heritage Graphics." The five-foot long images will portray the artisanship of Cousins Subs products illustrating the homemade bread, the highest quality meats and cheeses and the farm-fresh produce that go into making each handcrafted sub. The "Heritage Graphics" will serve as a reminder of Cousins Subs' dedication to value and providing the best quality food. Each new restaurant also will host a three-foot by three-foot "History Board," portraying a collage of picture and text boxes, telling the story of Cousins Subs from 1972 to the present.
The first Cousins Subs opened 40 years ago in Milwaukee. Today, there are more than 150 locations.
