Cousins franchisee opens second unit

Silva Subs LLC, owned by Elias Silva Jr. and Tracy Silva, is now the owner of the Cousins Subs restaurant at 2541 East Main St. in East Troy, Wisconsin. The Silvas, which also own a location in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, purchased the East Troy location from Tracy Loughney and Jenny Schahczinski, who owned and operated it for 11 years.

"I am honored to take ownership of the Cousins Subs restaurant in East Troy," Elias Silva Jr. said in a company press release. "I am a member of the East Troy community and look forward to continued excellence with the Cousins Subs brand."

The 1,875 square-foot Cousins Subs restaurant, which seats 30, offers online ordering and delivery and features a grill to prepare the brand's grilled-to-order sandwiches.

"We're thrilled to see Silva Subs LLC expand its footprint in Walworth County," Joe Ferguson, VP of development at Cousins Subs, said in the release. "Over the past 12 years, the franchise partner has demonstrated operational excellence and a sincere passion for the restaurant industry."

Wisconsin-based Cousins Subs opened in 1972 and operates nearly 100 shops in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
