Costa Coffee debuts sleek robotic coffee shop in the UK, US

U.K.-based Costa Coffee has launched a fully automated, AI-powered coffee shop, reportedly capable of meeting or surpassing barista quality, according to a Core 77 report.

The robotic coffee shop is self-cleaning and can operate for up to seven days without any human intervention. Already appearing at U.S. airports and college campuses, the automated Costa Coffee shop features a sleek, consumer-friendly design that incorporates touchscreen ordering and payment as well as a transparent drink preparation process.

Customers can see their drink made from beginning to end, shuffled from one stage to the next by robotic arms, then placed under a glass dome to serve.
