Cosi board forms committee to explore options

DEERFIELD, Ill. — The board of directors of bakery café chain Cosi has formed a special committee of directors to review and evaluate strategic alternatives for the company.
Such a move typically precedes a restructuring or sale.
The company has lost $7.9 million so far this year, and its stock price is down nearly 90 percent, to about 38 cents from $3.24 a year ago.
