Corner Bakery Cafe this week debuted new real-fruit and superfood-inspired menu items, including a Quinoa & Pico Salad and a Toasted Sesame Kale salad.
According to a news release, the Quinoa & Pico Salad features quinoa, corn, black beans, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and cilantro in a lime vinaigrette. Also new to Corner Bakery Cafe's menu is a Toasted Sesame Kale salad, featuring kale, shredded carrots and toasted sesame seeds with ginger soy dressing.
"At Corner Bakery Cafe, you don't have to sacrifice flavor to eat healthy," Ric Scicchitano, SVP of Food & Beverage, said in the release. "We're making salads from scratch with our more than 40 different types of produce and blending all natural smoothies to order. Our guests are getting food that's both good for them and delicious."
Additionally, returning to the menu is Southwest Avocado salad, featuring avocado, roasted corn and tomato salsa and topped with tortilla strips.
Finally, Corner Bakery is offering two new smoothies. The Orange Carrot Ginger Smoothie is made from 100 percent fruits and vegetables. The Four Berry Smoothie is a blend of 100-percent real fruit, including raspberry, strawberry, blackberry and blueberry. Both smoothies deliver four daily servings of fruit, contain no added sugar, and can be enhanced with a yogurt protein boost that adds six grams of protein, the release said.
