Corner Bakery Cafe has promoted Gregg Koffler to vice president of franchise sales, responsible for the overall sales and growth of the franchise division, according to a company press release.
With more than 150 cafes open, Koffler steps into his new role as the brand continues its path to more than double its footprint over the next three to four years in the U.S. through a combination of franchised and company-owned cafes.
"I'm incredibly excited about the opportunity to direct the expansion of Corner Bakery Cafe's franchise growth," said Koffler, who has more than a decade of experience with hospitality and franchise organizations and was previously responsible for overseeing Corner Bakery Cafe's expansion throughout the Western United States. "We have an exceptional franchise sales team already in place, and with a $2.3 million AUV and excellent unit-level economics, Corner Bakery Cafe has established itself as a leading brand in the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry. I look forward to the tremendous opportunities to grow the brand through franchised cafes while the company also continues to invest in cafe development."
Koffler joined Corner Bakery Cafe last May as the director of franchise sales for the Western U.S. He brings six years of hospitality franchise experience as a multiple award-winning director of franchise sales at Global Hyatt's U.S. Franchise Systems, now Wyndham Worldwide. Prior to Wyndham, he was a managing partner with Scottsdale Mortgage Professionals and president of Southwest Litigation Support.
