Corner Bakery Café inks 12-unit deal for expansion into Oregon

July 16, 2014

Corner Bakery Café announced today a new partnership with franchise partner NW Ventures, led by Luis Boyance.

NW Ventures, which operates 138 Burger King franchises in Oregon and Mexico and two TGI Fridays in Mexico, plans to open 12 neighborhood cafes in the state of Oregon and Vancouver, Wash.

"As a leader in the franchising industry, Luis Boyance and NW Ventures exemplifies the ideal partner we look for when growing our brand across the country," said Gregg Koffler, vice president of franchise sales for Corner Bakery Café, in a company press release. "With Luis’ extensive footprint in Oregon, including 68 Burger King locations, coupled with consumer demand for Corner Bakery Café, we know that Luis’ market understanding will drive growth and excitement for the brand as we enter the state of Oregon in 2015."

Exceeding expansion goals, Corner Bakery has also seen rapid growth in 2014, with 55 locations currently in development and franchise development commitments for more than 365 additional cafes.

Corner Bakery Café is seeking multi-unit franchise partners to expand into additional franchise territories across the country, and hopes to double its footprint by 2017.
