Congo welcomes Fatburger, Buffalo's Express

The Democratic Republic of Congo is home to its first Fatburger and Buffalo's Express co-branded unit in Kinshasa, according to a press release from the restaurants' parent company FAT Brands.

"We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Africa, joining our two Fatburger and Buffalo's Express locations in Tunisia in addition to our newest location that just opened in Marrakesh last month," Jake Berchtold, COO of FAT Brands Fast Casual Division. "All-American cuisine continues to grow in popularity in the continent and we see Kinshasa as the perfect market to introduce locals in the Democratic Republic of Congo to our one-of-a-kind dining experience."

Under the direction of Muzuri Sarl, the restaurant is located at 8 Port Ave. in Gombe, Kinshasa.

FAT Brands also owns Round Table Pizza, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli's, Twin Peaks, Great American Cookies, Hot Dog on a Stick, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, Elevation Burger, Native Grill & Wings, Yalla Mediterranean and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses.
