Conde Nast Traveler has named Sambazon "one of the most unforgettable airport meals in the world." The chain offers acai bowls at locations in airports across the United States including Charlotte-Douglas, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John Wayne Airport and soon at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

"We're proud to offer a healthy alternative to traditionally non-impressive airport food options," Ryan Black, founder and CEO of Sambazon, said in a company press release. "Just because you're on the road and away from home doesn't mean you should have to sacrifice your health and wellness goals. We're thrilled to be recognized by the team at Conde Nast Traveler and hope that travelers nationwide give us a try."

The magazine wrote:

"In a sea of fast food and overpriced snacks, stumbling upon healthier options at the airport is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. During a recent layover at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, I was pleasantly surprised to come across Sambazon, a food company that sells acai-based foods and beverages. A delicious customized acai bowl, filled with fresh bananas, blueberries, mangoes and topped with fleshy shreds of coconut set me back by roughly $13 and I couldn't believe I was actually enjoying this burst of fresh tropical flavors at an airport." — Taryn White, Washington, D.C.

Earlier this year, Sambazon announced its first franchise program.

Along with the brand's flagship location in San Diego, California, Sambazon has a retail presence in numerous airports, universities, stadiums and other high-traffic locations.
