Cinnaholic on a roll

Cinnaholic, which serves plant-based cinnamon rolls, has opened 10 franchises since January and has more than 100 locations in the pipeline. Although it has 38 units now, it's on track to reach 50 locations by the end of 2019, Spencer Reid, president of Cinnaholic, said in a company press release.

"Our franchise model has proven successful time and time again, and the fact that many of our existing franchisees are opening additional locations is a true indicator of our products resonating with customers and our concept's profitability for investors," he said. "We are excited to continue our expansion into new markets at a rapid rate with new and existing franchisees across North America."

To celebrate its nine-year anniversary, the brand is celebrating its second annual World Cinnaholic Day on Wednesday by serving $1 cinnamon rolls from noon to 4 p.m.

Cinnaholic, Reid said, was founded upon a commitment that all ingredients must be dairy, egg and cholesterol free.
