Chipotle has opened a meeting and event space called The Pepper Training Center inside its Restaurant Support Center in Columbus' Downtown Arena District at 500 Neil Ave.
Equipped with a training center for over 400 people and a Cantina, the space will host large-scale meetings and company-wide events, including town halls and the organization's leadership development programs.
The 130,000-square-foot corporate office space was completed in 2022 and is home to the Columbus Restaurant Support Center, employing nearly 500 employees in finance, guest and employee relations, development, food safety, legal, people experience, technology, facilities and operations. Career opportunities are available in the Ohio support center.
"At Chipotle, our people are our greatest asset and we're proud to provide our Columbus team members with a new innovative space to foster greater collaboration," Chief Human Resources Officer Ilene Eskenazi said in an email to FastCasual.
Chipotle's business is experiencing rapid growth, opening between 315 and 345 restaurants this year, which can impact the hiring needs in its Ohio support center over the next several years. The company is over halfway to its long-term growth goal of 7,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
