CHiKN brings Nashville-style hot chicken to Pittsburgh

Fast casual CHiKN is serving up Nashville-style hot chicken to Oakland, Pittsburgh residents at its newly opened location on Forbes Avenue.

The cashless operation, according to a Pitt News report, opened on Jan. 18 after eight months of planning by owners of Stack’d, a burger brand also operating in Pittsburgh.

The menu offers four options (sandwich, tenders, chicken and waffles, and salad) and customers can customize the level of spice/heat, which ranges from southern to "damn hot," according to the news report.

In the future, CHiKN may offer breakfast items as well, including egg sandwiches and avocado toast.
