Chicken Salad Chick readying launch of three new locations

November 28, 2018

Chicken Salad Chick is expanding nationally with its eleventh Tennessee store, its sixth in Mississippi and its fourth in the greater Orlando area of Florida.

The new Tennessee restaurant, a company-owned unit, is located at 5050 Carothers Pkwy. and will open on Dec. 5. It marks the brand's 104th overall location, according to a press release.

"By the end of the year, we will have opened five new Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in Tennessee, including two in the Nashville area," said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, in the release. "Our growth in the state continues to skyrocket and it's largely due in part to our loyal guests who aren't shy about showing their love for our unique concept, Southern charm and made-from-scratch recipes. We are thrilled to be opening a new restaurant in Franklin and look forward to bringing Chicken Salad Chick to more communities throughout Tennessee."

The new Mississippi restaurant, which marks the brand's sixth in the state, will open in Tupelo at 3581 North Gloster St. on Dec. 4

The Tupelo Chicken Salad Chick is owned and operated by multi-unit franchisees, husband and wife team, Robin and Will Clayton. The couple formed Yessam LLC with other members of their family and opened the state's first location in Oxford last year, according to a press release.

"It's been a little over a year since we opened our first Chicken Salad Chick and so far, it has been one of the greatest journeys," said Robin Clayton in the release. "The brand's rich culture and inviting atmosphere make Chicken Salad Chick a top restaurant for families, catering to the likes of both the youngest and oldest generations. This holiday season, Will and I are thrilled to welcome the residents of Tupelo to Chicken Salad Chick and know some of the season's best memories will be made in our restaurant."

The brand's latest Florida restaurant will open in Lake Mary, at 1101 International Pkwy., and marks the fourth location in the Orlando area. There are currently 18 locations in Florida, according to a press release. An Oviedo location is set to open by year's end with four more Florida restaurants planned for 2019.

The Lake Mary Chicken Salad Chick is owned and operated by existing franchisees, Buck and Brooklyn Harris of CSC Three. The duo also operate two Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in Ormond Beach and Port Orange, with plans to develop more restaurants in the greater central Florida area over the next few years.

"As foodservice veterans in the fast casual chicken segment, Brooklyn and I know a thing or two about what makes a brand stand out," said Buck Harris in the release. "Chicken Salad Chick's genuine personality, wholesome atmosphere and attention to detail in both the restaurant design and menu offerings make this brand feel like home. We are thrilled to be opening a location in Lake Mary and look forward to serving residents for years to come."

Each new opening has a slew of promotional giveaways planned across the first several days of operation.
