Chicken Salad Chick opening 70th unit

Chicken Salad Chick is expanding in Georgia with its first location in Gainesville opening next week at 1122 Dawsonville Highway. Owned and operated by franchisee team Bob and Penny Wiggins, the restaurant marks the chain's 70th unit.

"Prior to our introduction to the Chicken Salad Chick concept, we had no plans on returning to the restaurant industry following two decades as restaurant owners and operators," Bob Wiggins said in a company press release. "After witnessing the brand's tremendous growth rate and ongoing success, we realized there was a great opportunity with the emerging company and were excited to jump back into the industry.

"The demographics and growing economy in the Gainesville market make it the perfect location for a concept like Chicken Salad Chick."

 Chicken Salad Chick launched in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama.
