Chicken Salad Chick expands into the Lone Star state

Chicken Salad Chick, the first chicken salad franchise in the nation, is opening its first Texas location in Fort Worth at 8825 Tehama Ridge Parkway, Suite 329.

John and Meggie Schissler are the franchisees.

"After working in the company's corporate office for several years, I knew I wanted to bring the brand's fantastic product and Southern hospitality to Texas – my home state. We plan to open two additional locations, and I look forward to serving the families of Fort Worth for many years to come," said Meggie Schissler, in an announcement.

The schedule for giveaways during the grand opening week is:

• Tuesday, June 21: First guest receive a pound of chicken salad per week for a year, while the next 99 guests get a pound of chicken salad per month for a year.
• Wednesday, June 22: The first 100 guests will receive a chicken salad chick selfie stick.
• Thursday, June 23: The first 100 guests to order a chick special receive a koozie.
• Friday, June 24: Guests receive one free cookie with purchase of chick trio.
• Saturday, June 25: The first 50 guests to purchase a chick trio receive a chicken salad chick cooler.

Anyone downloading the company's app will receive complimentary sunglasses and T-shirts.
