Chicken Salad Chick expanding Florida presence

December 9, 2025

Chicken Salad Chick has signed three franchise agreements to expand its Florida presence, including a deal to bring 12 locations to the central part of the state, the company announced.

The Atlanta-based fast-casual chain reached agreements with the following operators:

  • The Foundry Group: The investment group plans to open 12 locations in the Orlando area.
  • Cathy and James Brown and Allison and Stuart Gibson: The family team will open a location in Viera, on Florida's east coast.
  • Holly and Chris Eakes: The couple plans to develop the brand in the Lakeland area.

In addition to these agreements, Chicken Salad Chick has opened six Florida locations in 2025 and has sold an additional 13 stores for future development in the state.

"We are excited to partner with business owners in a region of the nation where Chicken Salad Chick continues to thrive," Mark Verges, vice president of franchise development at Chicken Salad Chick, said in a company press release. "Each of these franchisees bring extensive business knowledge, unique backgrounds, and a genuine passion for the brand."

Founded in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick operates more than 300 restaurants in 22 states. The company reported more than $394.2 million in systemwide sales last year, with an average unit volume of $1.5 million.

The chain is currently targeting expansion in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and West Virginia.
