CherryBerry inks first franchise deal outside U.S.

October 31, 2012

Pakistanis will soon be creating their favorite yogurt dishes thanks to a franchise agreement among CherryBerry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar and Arif Baigmohammed, Osman Khan and P. Saad Ahsanuddin to franchise stores in Pakistan.

"Our move to Pakistan marks a huge milestone for CherryBerry overseas," said David Rutkauskas, founder and CEO of Beautiful Brands International, CherryBerry's franchise company. "Our growth plan puts Pakistan front and center of our expansion strategy and brings a whole new dimension to our worldwide footprint."

The agreement is part of an expansive strategy by BBI to partner with a host of franchise developers committed to expanding the CherryBerry brand globally. The CherryBerry franchise has more than 100 stores nationwide with 35 stores under construction and 60 more to open within the year. BBI plans on opening 12 stores in the first five years in mall-based cinemas throughout Pakistan as well as U.S. Military bases in Afghanistan.
