Cheba Hut intros Munchie Mob Rewards

Cheba Hut Toasted Subs has rolled out a mobile app and loyalty program, Munchie Mob Rewards, designed to streamline ordering and reward customer loyalty.

The platform, developed in partnership with tech company Thanx, aims to simplify the customer experience with card-linked earning and mobile ordering. Customers may link a credit or debit card to the app to automatically earn 10 "Coin" for every dollar spent. The rewards system eliminates the need for scanning or entering a phone number at the register.

"This launch proves reward apps don't have to be boring — we made ours fun, fast and not stingy with the stash," Adam Porter, senior director of marketing at Cheba Hut, said in a press release "More important than anything else, the launch is about staying true to our roots and making sure our loyal fans feel the love."

The app's user interface is identical for both web and mobile ordering, powered by the platform Olo. New users receive 420 Coin upon sign-up and can redeem rewards for menu items like sandwiches, not'chos, and drinks.

The program is part of a larger brand refresh that introduces a series of new characters called "The Munchies." These characters, which include Flip, Gooey, Crunchie, Meaty, Tipsy and Drizz, will be featured on menus, in the app and in-store.

It has already doubled guest loyalty transactions and increased sign-ups sixfold compared to its previous program.

"Our Munchie Mob launch underscores how tech can simplify life on all sides," Porter said in the release. "For guests, it's one link and done. For our crews, it removes the scanning headaches at the counter. And for our brand, it delivers the kind of accurate, reliable data that fuels smarter growth."
