Clermont will be the location for the seventh Buffalo Wild Wings Florida location, set to open Aug. 27. Sunshine Restaurant Corp. is the Central Florida franchisee for the restaurant/sports bar.
The unit is positioned in a 7,000-square-foot, free-standing building with an outdoor patio/bar area in the Clermont Landing Shopping Center and was developed by Weingarten Realty.
The facility includes 50 video monitors, including a handful of 3-dimensional, 65-inch TVs; 13 100-inch video screens; and three 225-inch movie theater-size video screens.
About 90 new jobs are being created at the new location. To celebrate the opening, Buffalo Wild Wings will offer free wings for a year to the first 100 guests on Friday.
"The Clermont metro area is one of the fastest growing communities in the Central Florida area, with a lack of family-oriented places to watch sporting events," said Andrew Gross, CEO/president of Sunshine. "We’re excited about this opportunity to expand our brand and serve new guests from throughout Lake County."
Sunshine Restaurant Corp. recently increased the size of its Lake Buena Vista location, including the addition of a 2,000 square foot patio/bar, and opened its sixth Buffalo Wild Wings in Formosa Gardens/Disney Main Gate in July.
The company is currently scouting locations across the Central Florida area for even more expansion in 2011 and beyond. The company also plans to open 20 Smashburger restaurants in the region, with up to three units in the next six months.
