Captain D's to expand southern footprint with 14 new locations

The brand will expand its footprint in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina.

Captain D's, a fast casual seafood restaurant, announced it inked franchise agreements to open at least 14 new restaurants. The brand will expand its footprint in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina.

Edward Stokes and Chris Benner are new franchisee partners, bringing a combined six decades of restaurant and operations experience to Captain D's. Stokes and Benner also purchased four existing Captain D's restaurants in Tennessee and Virginia and expect their first new store to open within the next twelve months.

Kentucky-based Dean Turner, Jim Azbill and Chuck Conley also joined Captain D's to open three new restaurants in Berea, Georgetown and Danville, Kentucky within the next three years. New franchisee team Affak Pathan and Shamana Patel will bring the concept to Kennesaw, Georgia and develop additional locations in the Atlanta suburbs over the next several years.
