Captain D's expands Louisiana footprint

December 11, 2018

Fast casual seafood brand Captain D’s has opened its latest corporate-owned store in Louisiana, this time in New Iberia at 1120 E. Admiral Doyle Drive.

The unit is the fifth corporate store to open in Louisiana since last year, according to a press release, and reflects the brand’s refreshed restaurant prototype featuring a streamlined space which is reducing franchise costs.

"We are committed to constantly investing in the Captain D's brand and showing our franchisees that we offer their business an unparalleled level of support. In addition to our ongoing corporate growth, we have always prioritized allocating company capital toward developing new innovations that help operators save money and improve efficiency," said Brad Reed, chief development officer for Captain D's, in the release. "The new prototype unveiled at the opening of our corporate restaurant in New Iberia is a direct reflection of how Captain D's goes above and beyond to ensure our franchisees are positioned for success."

In the past year, the company has opened more than 10 new locations and inked numerous franchise development agreements to open new restaurants in states like Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan and Oklahoma. It currently operates 530 locations in 22 states.
