Captain D's continues Missouri expansion

Captain D's has opened its newest franchised location in Wentzville, Missouri, according to a company press release. Located at 708 S. Church St., the restaurant marks the company's first location in the Wentzville area, but the brand has continued to establish Missouri as a prime market for expansion, with this latest new location coming on the heels of restaurant openings in Cape Girardeau and Overland earlier this year.

Franchisee Tom Durst has more than 10 years of experience in the foodservice and franchising industries and is a longstanding member of the Missouri business community, operating three additional restaurant concepts including a Dairy Queen franchise.

"The fast casual segment has become increasingly saturated in recent years, and while there are countless franchise opportunities available today, it was important for us to find a concept that was committed to delivering an exceptional brand experience and positioning each and every franchisee for success. When we were introduced to Captain D's, it was obvious that we found the perfect fit," Durst said in the release.

Throughout the past year, Captain D's has opened more than 15 locations and inked numerous development agreements to open restaurants in key markets, including Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Georgia.
Coupled with its ongoing menu innovation, the brand credits its restaurant beach design with contributing to the brand's ongoing strong performance. To date, nearly 80 percent of all restaurants have been reimaged to thebrand's vibrant, coastal design

With more than 530 restaurants in 22 states, Captain D's is seeking single- and multi-unit operators to join in the brand's expansion efforts.
