Captain D's continues Georgia expansion

Captain D's, a fast casual seafood restaurant, opened a unit today located at 651 Forrest Ave., Rockmart, Georgia, according to a company press release. 

Asif Jariwala and Zaheara Momin will own and operate the location, bringing more than 45 years combined experience in management and franchising. They own several Dairy Queen locations and two hotels in Georgia. 

 "I was immediately drawn to Captain D's because of the unparalleled support system in place for its franchisees, as well as its unique and defensible position in the fast casual space," Asif Jariwala said in the release. "The brand has already developed a passionate following from Georgia residents considering its strong presence in our state, and I'm thrilled to finally bring Captain D's to the Rockmart community."

The chain has more than 530 units and is looking for single- and multi-unit operators to help expand the brand, according to the release.
