Capriotti's Sandwich Shop signs 31 franchise deals in first quarter

The first three months of 2019 have been busy for Capriotti's Sandwich Shop given the brand signed 31 franchise development agreements during the time frame.

The fast casual concept has 100 locations up and running on the east and west coasts and the new deals will bring locations to Ohio, New York City, northwest Indiana, Pennsylvania, Washington, Idaho and Arizona, according to a press release.

"In 2018, we focused our efforts on improving our restaurants with updated interiors, innovative technology and convenience factors, and rewarding our customers for their continued loyalty," said Ashley Morris, Capriotti's CEO, in the release. "With these new improvements in place, it's exciting to watch our strategy fall into place and be reflected by impressive growth numbers such as these. Capriotti's has created exceptional infrastructure and training programs, and we're excited to start bringing these 31 new locations to life."

Capriotti's opened two restaurants in Q1 of 2019, and plans to open four this quarter.
