Capriotti's Sandwich Shop expands in home state

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop has opened its 19th Delaware restaurant in Newark, at Harmony Plaza. The new location is 12 miles from the original shop in Wilmington, Del., and features signature items such as the Bobbie, with light and dark turkey meat, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing and mayo, and the "Best Cheesesteak" in Delaware, as voted by readers of Delaware Today.

Capriotti's also now offers an extended catering menu including Cap's Big Box Lunch and hot self-serve homemade Meatball Bar with delivery to local businesses.

"Delaware is home to many of our most devoted sandwich lovers, who continually honor us by voting Capriotti's Best Deli, Sandwich and Hoagie in Delaware and we are happy to bring many more of their favorites for years to come," said Ashley Morris, CEO of Capriotti's.

Hours of operation at the new restaurant are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays. 

Capriotti's now includes 88 restaurants across the U.S.
