Capriotti's Sandwich Shop announced a partnership with The Las Vegas Rescue Mission to launch a city-wide summer food drive to benefit local at-risk school children.

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop announced a partnership with The Las Vegas Rescue Mission to launch a city-wide summer food drive to benefit local at-risk school children. The Summer Meals for Kids Food Drive will run from May 1-29 at all Capriotti's locations in the Las Vegas area, the company said. To participate, guests can place non-perishable food donations in specially marked bins and those who donate five or more items will receive a 9" to 12" sandwich upsize.

"With the help of the community and our loyal fans, we raised over 3,000 pounds of food last summer," said Ashley Morris, CEO of Capriotti's, in the announcement. "This year we hope to surpass that amount in order to provide more local children with nutritious meals so no child will go hungry this summer."
