Capriotti's Sandwich Shop will expand its Arizona footprint on Jan. 7 with the opening of a location in the Happy Valley area of Phoenix.
Located at 3890 W. Happy Valley Road, Suite 160, the shop is owned and operated by husband-and-wife franchisees Anthony and Julia Austin.
Anthony Austin, a U.S. Air Force veteran originally from Las Vegas, was stationed at Luke Air Force Base for four years before settling in the Phoenix area two decades ago. Julia Austin, a dietitian at a local hospital, said the brand's focus on high-quality ingredients aligned with her professional background.
"Capriotti's has been part of our lives for so many years that opening our own location just felt right," Anthony Austin said in a company press release. "We're excited to share the sandwiches we've loved for so long and bring that same experience to families here in Phoenix."
The 49-year-old brand is best known for its "The Bobbie" sandwich — featuring slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo — as well as its Capastrami and American Wagyu cheesesteaks. The company maintains a tradition of slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys in-house daily.
The Phoenix location will offer online ordering, third-party delivery and catering services ranging from boxed lunches to a hot meatball bar. Customers may also participate in the brand's rewards program via the Capriotti's app.
Founded in 1976, Capriotti's operates over 150 locations across the United States.
