Qdoba Mexican Grill is now open in London, Ontario. Located at 841 Wellington Road S., the newest Qdoba is the brand's second Canadian restaurant; the first recently opened in Brandon, Manitoba. Both locations will help attract new customers and franchisees north of the United States border, said John Dikos, director of franchise development for Qdoba Mexican Grill.
"Qdoba is excited to continue our growth beyond the U.S. border, and franchisees like Leo Stathakis of QNorth Development Corporation in Ontario are helping to pave our way," he said. "We will continue cultivating franchise partners in the U.S. and internationally that exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for food along with a track record of success in the restaurant industry."
As one of Qdoba's first international restaurants, the Ontario location is a significant milestone for the company, which has grown to become one of the largest Mexican fast casual chains with more than 600 restaurants in 44 states, the District of Columbia and, now, in Canada. Qdoba, which plans to open 70-85 North America locations in fiscal 2013, has had strong interest from existing restaurant owners looking to develop throughout Canada, Dikos said.
