California Tortilla testing fro-yo

California Tortilla is serving up a new addition to its menu with Yo! Tort frozen yogurt. It debuted last week when the restaurant chain's 41st franchise opened in Lorton, Va., according to a company press release. Best known for burritos, quesadillas and salads, California Tortilla is testing the frozen yogurt line as a new potential product offering.

Yo! Tort will feature a variety of flavors including Chocolate, Vanilla, New York Cheesecake, Cake Batter, Tart and Pomegranate-Raspberry Sorbet. Toppings will range from standard favorites like rainbow sprinkles and coconut flakes to the more unexpected, such as mini-Swedish Fish and mochi rice cake, for the more adventurous fro-yo lover, " said Bob Phillips, president of California Tortilla.

"We're excited to test a completely new product line as part of the California Tortilla menu," he said. "Our customers expect us to keep things fresh, exciting and, above all, tasty—and Yo! Tort hits the mark on all three. We're looking forward to seeing the potential of Yo! Tort as an additional profit center."

Yo! Tort is currently available at California Tortilla Lorton.
