California Tortilla has partnered with Paytronix Systems, a provider of reward program solutions to restaurants and retailers, to release the California Tortilla Burrito Elito Mobile Apps for iOS and Android with single sign-on for mobile ordering.

The chain expects to cut wait times for guests, increase the number of orders it can process during peak day hours and maintain a single view of its guests across all purchasing channel, according to a company press release.

Paytronix partnered with Takeout Technologies, said Kristen House, mobile product manager for Paytronix, to integrate the online ordering experience with the in-store purchasing experience to enable California Tortilla to achieve an exponential level of customer engagement that allows the chain to:

  • Maintain a single view of each customer whether they purchase online or in the store.
  • Capture the customer's attention in the moment of purchase decision with real-time messages.
  • Enable customers to place an order from anywhere; identify themselves with the app, view account status, reward and point balances and search for the nearest store.

"Paytronix provided key support in helping us to evolve our rewards program, ensuring that it was a seamless process for our staff and our 180-plus thousand Burrito Elito members," said Laura Cissel, VP of marketing, California Tortilla. "We're excited about the opportunities our new mobile apps bring to enriching the guest experience and helping us to further our marketing efforts."
