Caffeine addicts have a new way to get their fix, thanks to the Espresso Buzz Bagel.
The bagel, infused with 32 milligrams of caffeine and 13 grams of protein, is now part of Einstein Bros. Bagels’ Boosted Bagels, according to a press release.
Two other bagels joining the lineup include the Cherry Chia Bagel, boasting 300 milligrams of omega-3 ALA and 12 grams of protein, and the Savory Parm Bagel, which has iron, B1, B2 and 12 grams of protein.
To celebrate the launch of Boosted Bagels, Einstein Bros. will honor a profession that works tirelessly, is often underappreciated and could use some buzz — nurses. Nurses will receive a free Espresso Buzz bagel and shmear Thursday.
"When the launch of Boosted Bagels coincided with National Nurses Week, we knew it was a perfect opportunity to thank a group of people who give others a boost when they need it most," said Kerry Coyne, Einstein Bros. Bagels SVP of marketing, R&D, and catering. "We hope the nation's nearly four million nurses take us up on our offer for a free Espresso Buzz Bagel and shmear to jump start their day or give them a boost after a long night on the job."
As part of the National Nurses Week campaign, Einstein Bros. Bagels is encouraging nurses to share their stories about how the Espresso Buzz Bagel is helping them get through their day with the hashtag #NurseTheBuzz. Those outside the nursing profession are encouraged to show their appreciation for nurses by sharing a thank you message for a nurse who made a difference at www.nursethebuzz.com or on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #NurseTheBuzzSweepstakes.
Fans submitting messages receive a coupon for a free Boosted Bagel and shmear with purchase and will be entered for a chance to win one free bagel with shmear from Einstein Bros. Bagels each week for a year, according to the release.
