BWW highlighting 'under-the-radar' sports

Buffalo Wild Wings has kicked off a seven-week promotion providing guests with more opportunities to watch, experience and learn about sports from around the world.

Buffalo Wild Wings has kicked off a seven-week promotion providing guests with more opportunities to watch, experience and learn about sports from around the world. The “Blazin’ World of Sports” promotion highlights popular, emerging, under-the-radar and even wacky sports from every corner of the globe, according to a company press release.

“Fans know Buffalo Wild Wings is the ultimate sports viewing destination, and this summer, it’s the place to watch, enjoy and experience sports action from around the globe”

The chain, through July 19, will feature a particular category of sports each week, bringing them to life through in-restaurant TV content, highlighting sport specific action and bloopers, along with educational materials and interactive games. In addition, fans can enter a sports-themed sweepstakes with instant daily prizes and weekly grand prize trips to global sports events and experiences throughout the world, said Bob Ruhland, vice president of marketing for Buffalo Wild Wings.

“We’ll feature sports that are already hot – like NBA and NHL Playoff action and the Women’s World Cup – to emerging and even wacky sports that aren’t always easy to find but are the ones we just can’t stop watching when we do. It’s our way of giving fans more to root for this summer.”

To enter for a chance to win daily and weekly prizes, fans first need to download the free Blippar augmented reality app and then follow the entry instructions at their local participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant.
