Burke names Krause to food scientist post

NEVADA, Iowa -- Burke Corp., a provider of fully-cooked meat products, has announced that Brian Krause has joined the Burke research and development team as a food scientist. Krause will be responsible for conducting tests with the formulation and development of new fully cooked meat products and product lines for Burke Corp. and its customers.
 
Krause earned a master's in meat science from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and a bachelor's in animal science with an emphasis in animal products from University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He was employed in various capacities in the meat laboratories at both universities.
 
While pursuing his bachelor's, Krause was a research and development intern at Burke Corp., where he maintained a shelf-life study of meat products and assisted with product development.
